Amsterdam

After one 8 hour stop over in Melbourne and two stopovers in China I finally arrived in Amatardam! I ended up hanging out with a Girl from the UK who was stopping over in amstardam on her way to Chicago. After probably a few hours wandering around Vondrlpark we finally found my hostel. Yesterday I went on the free walking tour of the city. Which is just like in the pictures. Everyone on bikes riding around the many canals through the city. And yes the people arenas well dressed as in the blogs - people do actually take their pedigree dogs for walks around the city in cuffed jeans and brogues! Last night I went around the red light district where the windows are full of partially nude gitls who tap on the windows and pout alot. Not to mention the many coffee shops. I'm just about to head out for breakfast now as I slept through the free one :( Xx.

  1. Bet you are feeling like buying some new clothes already, so you fit in with the stylish vibe. Have you hired a bike yet. All sounds great. Suz says to visit Ann Franks house... How is the coffee there? and have you been to any pubs, clubs, music venues yet. Would love to hear, and of course photos always are great. Mumxx

  2. Hahah, yes! \but restraining myself well. No bike hire yet, \i'm a bit scared to - the tram, bike, pedestrian areas aren't very clearly defined and so as a pedestrian you have to look out for trams and big dutch people on big dutch bikes who slow down for no one!
Have not tried the coffee? Haven't really been out either. I'm quite sick at the moment and despite there being readily available weed and magic mushrooms, you can't buy cold and flu tablets!Amsterdam also is very disapointing in the live music stakes as well.

Went to the local museum and Van Gough - both quite disapointing especially when paying a small fortune to see them! Not even compareable to Mona! Just about to go to Ann Franks this morning!

    Xxxx.
